Ricky M. Rogers is a dedicated leader with a distinguished career of 4 decades in both military and government service. With 22 years of military experience, including being the first Enlisted Officer in Charge of a Branch Medical Clinic, Senior Enlisted Leader of both small and major commands, Fleet Medical Liaison Officer for the Atlantic Fleet, and Senior Medical Department Representative for the USS Normandy (CG-60). He also saw combat action as a member of a forward deployed unit of the United States Marine Corps during the Gulf War in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After the Gulf War his combat medical experience was sought in training newly Commissioned Medical Officers as the Director of the Surface Warfare Medical Officer Indoctrination Course. During this time he was also the Curriculum Manager and Clinical Medicine and Trauma Management Instructor at the Surface Force Independent Duty Corps School. During his highly decorated military career Mr. Rogers continued to hone skills in leadership, training and education, strategic planning, and upper level management.


Following his military service, Mr. Rogers transitioned to a successful career in the federal government as a Service Chief for the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he contributed to the overall operation of both large and small healthcare systems delivering impactful changes, creative healthcare delivery systems in a multi-disciplined structure which facilitated the immediate care of our Nations Veterans. During this time he fostered insightful community support in helping the military veteran community nationwide by leading other VA facilities with their approach to foster care of all levels of trauma sustained by combat veterans. In recognition of his tireless leadership he earned the Prestigious Veterans Administration Manager of the Year Award in 2017.

His passion of caring for others and combining this extensive experience, Mr. Rogers is one of the founding members of the Knights of St. Michael Charitable Trust to address humanitarian needs, leveraging a unique blend of disciplined military insight and government expertise. Mr. Rogers is committed to making a positive difference by ensuring no one is left behind in the mission and vision of the Knights of St. Michael Charitable Trust.


Ricky and his wife Marcia have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
